Ivanov detailed Russia’s substantial presence at ADIPEC 2024, with nearly 70 Russian companies participating. The Russian delegation features a broad array of equipment providers for the oil and gas sector, including advanced technologies such as pumps, compressors, automated control systems, and specialized software. These contributions underscore Russia’s commitment to driving energy efficiency and innovation across the sector.

Emphasizing the conference themes of green energy, digitalization, and artificial intelligence, Ivanov noted that Russia is actively positioning itself as a solutions provider in these areas. “Russia is committed to offering its expertise in green energy. We boast one of the world’s greenest energy balances and are a recognized leader in nuclear energy,” he stated. Ivanov affirmed Russia’s readiness to leverage its resources and technological expertise to support regional sustainability goals.

The Deputy Minister also discussed Russia’s advancements in renewable energy, including solar and wind power, noting that Russia’s solar panel production ranks among the top five globally for efficiency. These panels are now exported to multiple international markets, a testament to Russia’s expanding footprint in renewable technologies. Additionally, he highlighted ongoing collaborations in wind energy, positioning Russia as a rising player in this sector in partnership with global technology leaders.

Addressing Russia’s progress in energy storage, Ivanov mentioned new facility construction efforts aimed at bolstering the region’s energy reliability. He explained that energy storage solutions were a key topic during his panel discussions at ADIPEC. “We are constructing facilities for energy storage systems,” he said, emphasizing this technology’s potential to complement renewable energy developments in the region.

Traditional energy sectors also remain central to Russia’s economic strategy. Ivanov pointed to hydrocarbon extraction, processing, and emerging investments in hydrogen energy as continued priorities. Russia has developed strong competencies in these areas, with an eye on enhancing partnerships with UAE firms and other entities across the Middle East.

With its robust participation at ADIPEC and focus on innovative energy solutions, Russia is reinforcing its commitment to a strong partnership with the UAE, aiming to deepen its impact on the global energy landscape.
