    White House reports Biden is positive for COVID-19 but exhibits mild symptoms.

    On Thursday, US President Joe Biden tested positive for COVID-19 and was quarantined at the White House to deal with seemingly mild symptoms. However, his doctor says he should respond well to treatment as he has been fully vaccinated and against the virus. In a statement announcing the president’s diagnosis, White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said the president is taking Paxlovid, a Pfizer antiviral treatment. It is the first time Mr. Biden has contracted Coronavirus.
